Laura FIGAZZOLO works as a Professional Assistant in the EI Research Unit.
She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies of The Hague, with a specialisation in Politics of Alternative Development.
Before arriving at EI, Laura worked as a freelance researcher/consultant in the domain of international trade unionism and child labour.
Prior to that, she worked as an intern for an Ecuadorian NGO in Loja (South of Ecuador), developing projects concerning both the agricultural and micro-industrial sectors at local level, primarily in data collection and analysis. Laura is co-founding president of a non-profit organisation based in Italy, dealing with development projects, mainly for Rwanda.
Laura was born in 1979 in Italy. She is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish. She understands German and is enthusiastically learning French.
