Juliane Rethorst started her position as Professional Assistant at Education International in May 2004.
Juliane completed a Master of Arts in Political Science, Economic Policy and Romance Philology (Spanish) in Münster, Germany with the main emphasis on Development Politics.
Through various positions in non-governmental organisations in Germany, Chile and Belgium, Juliane gathered significant experience in the field of development co-operation. Her work experience ranges from designing, implementing and evaluating seminars, conferences and workshops on European policy and development issues, project management, support and coordination of joint activities in advocacy and public relations work, research as well as drafting working papers on development issues and emergency aid.
Currently, Juliane is working in EI's Solidarity and Development Programmes Unit.
