Iêda Leal is Secretary for the fight against racism at CNTE, Brasil (Confederação Nacional dos Trabalhadores em Educação). She is the Treasurer of SINTEGO (Sindicato dos Trabalhadores em Educaçãode Goiás), National coordinator of the MNU (Movimento Negro Unificato), Coordinator of the Centro de Referência Negra Lélia Gonzales and secretary of communication of CUT-Goiás (Central Única dos Trabalhadores).
