Elizabeth Reade Fong was born and raised in Fiji. She currently holds the position of University Librarian at the University of the South Pacific (USP) and is the first female President of the academic and professional staff union, AUSPS. She is an alumni having obtained a Bachelors in Sociology and Management (1977) and a PG Dip (1980) and Masters in Library and Information Science (1994) from the University of North London. Her career spans 44 years with the University Library where she has been part of copyright management.
