Fazel Ahmad is the President and Chairman of the National Teacher Elected Council of Afghanistan.
In 1977, he graduated from Said Jamaluddin's Teacher Training College and started working as a teacher soon after. During the Soviet occupation, he migrated to Pakistan, where he worked for a non-governmental organization “Solidarities Afghanistan” for three years as a project manager. In 2002, he returned to Afghanistan and resumed working as a teacher. As a founding member, Mr. Fazel became the first elected President of the Council in 2013 and has been re-elected twice since then.
He is a father of 8 children and loves serving his profession with honesty and dedication.
