Bede Sheppard - sheppab[at]hrw.org - is the children’s rights deputy director at Human Rights Watch. For 15 years he has specialized in investigating the right to education in situations of armed conflict and peace. He has conducted human rights investigations in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Japan, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Ukraine, and Yemen.
