Almerindo Janela Afonso

Sociologist, Doctor of Education and (retired) professor at the University of Minho (Portugal). He was a member of scientific-pedagogical bodies and held university management positions, participates in editorial boards and scientific associations, has been a visiting professor at various universities and a visiting academic at the Institute of Education, University of London. He has published over a hundred scientific papers. He was a member of the Scientific Council for Teacher Assessment, President of the Portuguese Society of Education Sciences and a member of the National Council of Education. He is part of the Centre for Research in Education (CIEd-UM) and the Education and Training Policies Observatory (OP. Edu).
