Jalila Al-Salmanis the founder and Vice president of Bahrain Teachers Association. She is the General coordinator of Bahrain Human Rights Observatory & Human rights activist defending teachers and students, especially those behind bars for political reasons. She was jailed 3 times for her work as a unionist and won several national and international awards for her commitment to promote human and trade union rights.
