Annual meeting of the heads of EI and PSI
Heads of both main Global Unions representing public employees, Education International and Public Services International, will meet on 21 November in Brussels, Belgium to discuss their co-operation and common agenda.
Heads of both EI and PSI meet annually to deepen the ties and plan common programmes and activities. The two Global Unions work closely together because their membership represent the bulk of the world's workers employed in the public sector.
Such close collaboration has produced various successful activities, such as the EI-PSI Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender (LGBT) Forum, and the EI-PSI Pay Equity campaign. In 2002, both internationals published a common booklet on their collaboration called "Working Together".
