Hélène Nekarmbaye is an education professional with extensive experience working in the Chadian education system, including 22 years as a secondary school English teacher, five years as the deputy head of a high school and five years as a high school headmistress. Hélène has been elected twice as a member of the EI Africa Regional Committee. She is currently a member of the EI Executive Board and coordinator of the Central Africa Sub-Regional Network of Women Teacher Trade Unionists (an EI Africa Region network). A committed trade union leader, Hélène actively contributes to the fight for quality public education for all in Africa and works for women's leadership and gender equality in diversity.
