Gohar Hovhannisyan is the President of the European Students’ Union (ESU). She has extensive experience of student representation that started at the local level, where she served on the governing board of the Armenian State University of Economics. She went on to work at national and European levels. On the national level, she was leading the establishment of the national QA pool of student-experts and currently is developing one at ESU. She is an Executive Board member of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), an Advisory Board member of CHARM-EU university alliance, an External Experts' Group member of ECIU university alliance and represents ESU in the Advisory Group on Learning & Teaching of the Bologna Follow-up Group.
