UNESCO Prize for Peace Education now open for nomination
The UNESCO Prize for Peace Education is now open for nomination. The purpose of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education is to promote all forms of action designed to “construct the defences of peace in the minds of men” by rewarding a particularly outstanding example of activity designed to alert public opinion and mobilize the conscience of humankind in the cause of peace, in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and the United Nations Charter (Article 1 of the General Rules).
As teacher unions, EI affiliates and their members defend and promote peace through education. EI strongly encourages all affiliates to submit their nominations through the EI Secretariat. As the closing date is 24 Feb, all nominations should reach EI no later than 15 Feb.
