    Cambodia: CITA thanks EI affiliates for their international solidarity

    Due to the international solidarity actions from EI affiliates around the world, Rong Chhun, President of the Cambodian Independent Teachers’ Association (CITA) was finally released on bail.     EI Analysis of the Global Monitoring Report on Education For All 2006

    The fourth EI Congress in Porto Alegre stressed that EI and teachers’ unions worldwide are committed to the success of the EFA initiative. In relation to this, each year UNESCO, on behalf of UN agencies, releases a “Global Monitoring Report” assessing the progress made on achieving the goal of EFA.
